AI tools that help construction sites stay safe and compliant.
Chuan Works turns the paperwork of site safety — photo inspections, regulation lookups, meeting minutes and safety notices — into minutes of review instead of hours of typing. Built by a construction-safety practitioner, for the people who do the work on site.
Tools in development
Site Photo Hazard Check
Upload a site photo; get a hazard checklist mapped to the relevant articles of Taiwan's Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
- Unanchored harness at 3 m edge — 營造安全衛生設施標準 第19條 (openings & edges ≥ 2 m need guardrails, covers or nets). Action: stop work, install guardrails or a rated anchorage, 100% tie-off.
- Uncovered 1 m floor opening — same article; barricade now, secured and marked cover the same day.
- Articles it is unsure of are marked “verify” instead of guessed.
Meeting Minutes Builder
Turns a raw safety-meeting transcript into structured minutes: decisions, owners, deadlines and follow-ups from last meeting.
- Decision: toolbox talks move to 07:45 from Monday, with attendance taken
- Action: submit lifting plan for Friday crane lift — Sub A — Thu 12:00
- Carried over: level-3 guardrail, reported last week, now due Wed
Safety Notice Writer
Drafts clear, short safety notices and reminders for site group chats from a few bullet points — typhoon preparation, deadlines, incident lessons.
- The request asked to “lock tower-crane slewing”. The tool flagged that this is unsafe in a typhoon — the slewing brake should be released so the jib weathervanes — and wrote the notice accordingly.
- 【颱風安全通知】今日 17:00 前完成:綁紮鬆散物料、加固安全網、塔吊吊鉤升至最高並鬆開迴轉剎車、清理排水。完成後拍照回覆。
Daily Safety Incident Digest Running daily since Sep 2026
An automated pipeline that reads public incident news every day, analyses each accident with Claude, checks every cited regulation against the official law text, and produces a two-part toolbox-talk poster: what happened, and how to prevent it.
Fall from height — worker removing an external work platform

- Cause (Claude analysis): harness worn but lanyard not clipped to an anchor; lost balance stepping onto the outer platform.
- Cited regulations: Construction Safety Standards Art. 17, 19, 23; OSH Facilities Rules Art. 281 — all verified against the official text.
Struck by a road roller during resurfacing

- Cause (Claude analysis): worker cleaning inside the roller's travel path; driver did not see the worker (inferred).
- Cited regulations: OSH Facilities Rules Art. 116, 21-1, 21-2 — verified.

Facts come from the linked public news reports; steps marked “inferred” (研判) are the model's reasoning, not official findings. Analysis and poster text are written by Claude; poster illustrations are rendered by a separate image model. Posters are in Traditional Chinese for Taiwanese site crews.

How we use Claude
- Claude API (vision) — reads site photos and matches what it sees to specific safety regulations.
- Claude API (long documents) — drafts safety plans, meeting minutes and notices from transcripts and notes.
- Claude (daily automation) — analyses incident news every day: root causes, prevention steps and regulation citations for the Daily Safety Incident Digest.
- Claude Code — builds and maintains the web apps behind these tools.
- Claude Team — shared workspace for a small group of practitioners testing the tools.
